I try not to paint pictures or places so much as to paint a certain feeling. That "ahhhh" feeling that comes over you when you are completely moved by a beautiful sunset or an inspiring vista, or when in a quiet moment the largeness of the night sky really sinks in and overwhelms. Georgian Bay is my favourite place in the world, probably because it evokes that feeling in me over and over again.
